TERMS & CONDITIONS

Below are the terms and conditions for Smitten with Ink. By proceeding with your order and submitting a payment you are agreeing to these terms and conditions.

Lead times

Due to their bespoke nature, invitations usually take between 10 to 12 weeks from start of the design phase to production. The timeline also varies depending on the intricacies of the design. Note that lead times rely partly on your ability to  provide all necessary information in a timely manner.

If you need a faster turnaround, a quicker production may be arranged, most likely outside of busy periods and for an additional charge.

Process

Your design fee includes two rounds of revisions. The digital proofs are sent as a PDF document. Note that because of the bespoke and artisan nature of hot foil and letterpress, I am not able to send a physical proof of your suite prior to the production phase.  Should you wish to make further amendments after the 3 design proofs, you will be charged at my hourly rate of £40/hour.

Spelling mistakes and wording errors are the responsibility of the client. It is up to you to make sure that all details are correct before signing off the final proof. If re-printing is required, additional costs will be incurred and added to your final invoice. 

Quality & colour

Smitten with Ink doesn’t offer hard copy proofs and you will receive the proofs as a PDF document. Although we endeavour our mock ups to be as accurate to the finished product as possible, bear in mind that colours show differently from one screen/monitor to another. We will send you paper samples and give you Pantone codes to help you visualise your suite.

We strive for the highest quality and finishing of all  your stationery items but please note that due to the manual artisan printing process, be it hot foil or letterpress, small variations can occur from one product to the next. This is just the nature of letterpress printing and these variations by no mean can be considered  a fault or defect.

Payment

A deposit of 50% of your quote is due upon booking. The final payment is due on approval of the final proof and must be paid before production phase (printing and hand-finishing process) starts. No work can commence before initial payment nor printed and delivered without settling the outstanding balance. Any changes in specs having an impact on the initial estimate will be communicated to you for approval and the final invoice will be adjusted accordingly.

Cancellations

Smitten with Ink's design fee is non-refundable. Refunds are not available after the production phase has started. If, due to exceptional circumstances, Smitten with Ink was to cancel your order, you're entitled to a full refund.

Shipping

Orders are sent using an insured and tracked courier service. A date is agreed with you to ensure that there will be someone at the delivery address to receive the parcel. Smitten with Ink cannot be held responsible for items lost or delayed in the post due to circumstances outside of our control. Equally, delivery issues arising because an incorrect or incomplete address was provided do not fall under the remit of our responsibility.

For orders shipped outside of the UK, custom/import fees might apply to your parcel. Smitten with Ink will not cover for these additional fees. As you are responsible for any custom tax payment, we recommend that you check your country's custom rules prior to placing an order.

Returns

Due to the bespoke nature of our work, Smitten with Ink cannot accept returns.

In the unlikely event that there is an issue with your product, please get in touch as soon as possible.

Copyright

All artwork and designs are the intellectual property of Smitten with Ink and are not to be reproduced in any form unless agreed otherwise in writing and subject to a license fee. Smitten with Ink reserve the right to pursue legal action in the case of copyright infringement.

Marketing

Smitten with Ink reserves the right to use all artwork and designs produced for you for promotional purposes. This includes photographs of your products shared on the website and social media channels as well as physical copies used to showcase our services to prospective clients. All private information will however be hidden.

We reserve the right, at Smitten with Ink's sole discretion, to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time and without notice.
