From initial inspiration to final creation, the journey of bringing to life your custom wedding stationery is a deeply collaborative experience. Your story takes centre stage and every detail is crafted with utmost care and dedication. This is not just about stationery, it's about translating the essence of your love into a tangible, unique work of art.
The highest level of attention to details is the cornerstone of my work. As a result, I limit the number of projects I undertake to a select 8 to 10 couples each year, ensuring a bespoke and focused experience for every client.

EMBARKING ON YOUR STATIONERY JOURNEY
Following your initial contact through the enquiry form, we embark on a virtual consultation, akin to a delightful first date. During this session, we delve into your world—your story, the inspiration behind your wedding day. I share insights about paper, hand printing and shed light on my design style and my work process. Subsequently, you will receive a proposal with a quote. If you feel the connection, we move forward together to bring your unique wedding stationery to life.

DESIGNING YOUR WEDDING STATIONERY
Capturing your vision for your wedding day, unravelling your inspirations and discovering your passions will set the creative compass. I’ll start designing a few initial stationery concepts, allowing you to choose the one that truly resonates with you. Moving forward I’ll be refining the design, adjusting the colour palette and determining the preferred printing method(s). Throughout this journey, you have two rounds of revisions to meticulously fine-tune all the details before the finalised design is ready for print.
Note that I cannot send you a sample of your wedding invitation suite or your on-the-day stationery. Not only letterpress and hot foil require the making of bespoke plates but they are also a labour-intensive printing method. You will however receive a digital mock up as part of your proof so you get a very good idea of what your stationery will look like. I will also send you paper and colour palette samples to help you visualise it all.

BRINGING IT ALL TO LIFE
What sets Smitten with Ink apart is that every piece of stationery is printed in my studio whether on my vintage hot foil machine or my antique letterpress. Other finishing touches such as calligraphy, assembly, ribbon binding and wax seals are also meticulously done by hand. Doing it all in house ensures the highest level of quality control and perfection in every single detail.

Time is of the essence
The turnaround time for your custom wedding stationery is usually around 12 weeks, depending on how intricate your project is. This ensures that your stationery is exactly the way you had envisioned it.

I advise sending your invitations 3 to 6 months ahead of your wedding day. Make sure you secure your place in my schedule well in advance, allowing ample time to create your bespoke design.
